I spend a lot of time helping people discover their why and create visions of their future. I find this to be very important and I compare it to mapping out a trip.
Imagine getting in your car and just starting to drive without any idea of where you’re going. How long will it take you, how much gas will you need, do you have the right type of vehicle, where should you turn? Crazy to even think about isn’t it? This is how I see so many people in their careers and businesses.
If you know where you’re going, you have a better idea of what your future looks like and why. Doesn’t it make sense that it will help you make decisions based on that instead of the unknown? It might help you make the tougher decisions and stick with them when you can see in your mind why you’re doing it and what your future is going to look like if you do.
Do you lack patience? If you know better why, when and how things are happening it’s easier to stay the path. If you know your destination is 500 miles away you can track how many miles you have left and all of sudden 250 miles doesn’t seem like you have been traveling an eternity, instead, it means you are halfway there!
If you don’t have a clear vision of where you will be in your career or business ten years from now, join us tomorrow evening at 5:30pm for our WAM! meeting via zoom where will be helping each other with this.
