A friend sent me this thinking I would like it and she is right.
“It’s a complete waste of time to tell the trailblazers, rebels, dreamers and creators that they’re going the wrong way. We know. That’s the point. We didn’t come here to conform to the madness of the matrix. We came to blow some minds and break down belief systems.”
I have written in multiple different directions about this. When I see “trailblazers, rebels, dreamers and creators”, I see entrepreneurs and not conforming is a common trait of most of them.
It took me many years to recognize all of this because other traits of entrepreneurs like trying to do everything on their own, not asking for help, not understanding or communicating their real problems and not sharing intimate details of their situation in fear of outside perceptions.
I spent many years networking with other business owners but was still oblivious to all of this. I told everyone that everything was great and all I was looking for was more business. It wasn’t until I started participating in my first peer to peer meetings that I really began seeing things differently. Being able to sit down with people like me in an environment where we could put away our fake smiles and open up about our real fears, concerns and problems.
Seeing people with businesses much more successful than mine opening up about the struggles they were having was huge. Having them seeking help from me and then being able to share with them and have them working to help me was just mind blowing.
It was here that I really began to learn that as entrepreneurs we were part of something unusual. Society and all of its mainstream beliefs were designed for different directions. Revealing your entrepreneurial dreams was often met with scrutiny than revealing an addiction or disease. Together in these peer to peer meetings, often like what I imagine some AA or NA meetings being like lol, we are not only helping each other with business tips but also helping each other with support in life.
In this spirit it was another entrepreneur that helped me in coming up with WAM’s tagline, S.A.F.E. WAM members enjoy a SAFE place in which to find the Support, Accountability, Feedback and Education they need to define and achieve their success.
I look forward to your feedback and any tidbits you’d like to share.
