I don’t even know where to start right now. These are some trying times indeed. I am more grateful than ever to be in the position that I am in. Michele and I are taking some hits but nothing compared to what I am seeing some others going through right now.
I have made several changes this past week figuring out ways to stay focused, get the work completed that I have to and figuring out ways to produce during these changing times.
My me time has changed from the gym, the movies, shooting pool, time at the cigar lounge and eating out to exploring new parks, mountain biking, golfing, outdoor fitness classes, kayaking and fishing. Overall, I like these changes. I miss a lot of the interaction with other people but spending all of this time outdoors offers some great therapy during these stressful times.
My client meetings and a big part of our WAM! Meetings have been focused on the effects of the pandemic, shutdown, etc. We did come up with some great ideas to help several people and are working on more for others. If you are struggling in your business, visit one of our meetings or contact me personally and let’s see what we can figure out.
Not making light of any of the current tragedies but it is refreshing to me to see so many people enjoying the outdoors, neighbors and neighborhoods connecting during “safe distance” cookouts, people walking the parks, waterways filled with people fishing, etc. and most of all, people stepping up and out to help other people. I’m super proud of my wife and her friends who spent the majority of their weekend giving away free food to the truck drivers. There are so many examples right now of people out there helping others. We will get through this, we will come out stronger and hopefully, maybe even a little more united than before this hit us.
Have a good week people, stay patient and be safe.
