It was nice spending some time with Mom last week and since I got home from there on Thursday night I spent most of time with my wife and my father and trying to catch up on exercise.
The much needed getaways are important. Disconnecting, refueling, clearing my head and focusing on the more important things in life. While I have a few more trips planned for this year, Michele and I were talking last night again about our upcoming cruise in February. We are really excited about this one.
We will be flying to San Juan Puerto Rico on Saturday February 20th and staying overnight in San Juan before boarding the Norwegian Epic on Sunday evening. From there, all of our stops will be first time visits for us. They include Oranjestad, Aruba, Willemstad, Curacoa, Kralendijk, Bonaire, Castries, St. Lucia and Basseteere, St. Kitts before returning on Sunday February 28th.
We have set this up as a group cruise in hopes that we will have several people we know on the ship at the ports with us. We enjoy meeting new people on the ship but it’s comforting having people we are connected to on the ship as well. At ports, it’s really nice being able to travel in groups as well, we just feel safer. Of course another big benefit is the savings. The cruise itself is discounted, they offer us more upgrades and perks, excursions at the ports and more. Of course the more people we get, the more they will give us. If you have any interest get with me right away as we need commitments by the end of July to lock in the group rates.
On the WAM! side things are going well. It’s fulfilling to watch the members helping each other and seeing the growth in so many of them. This week I am going to focus on taking advantage of the online meetings and try to invite people from outside of the area to attend. I know that there are differences in how things are done in other areas and we could probably learn a lot. If you’re from outside of Richmond and want to check it out, let me know, we’d enjoy having you.
Other than that, I’m going to exercise, going mountain biking, kayaking, fishing and golfing this week with cigar breaks on the back porch when it’s raining. While on the string of invitations, let me know too if you want to join me on any of these activities.
Have a WAM!tastic week my friends! It’s going to be a great week.
