I have made the choice so many times now I don’t really think about it.
What choice is that?
Just recently I was offered a great job making really good money. The only negative at all to this job is that it would require me to actually report to an office at least five times per week almost every week. I thought about it and I made a list of all of the things I could buy. I rationalized and thought hard about just doing it for just a few years.
Then I thought about what I would have to give up. No more breakfasts with Dad during the week, no more rounds of golf with my friends during the week, no more impromptu hiking and fishing trips….. The list of things I wouldn’t be able to do became endless.
I chose time over money.
I gave up the new truck, the new Harley, the nicer fishing pole, the better pool stick and of course there is much more on this list too.
Are you weighing these choices out? Will you choose more time over more money?
Could you work less hours, spend less money and end up with more time? What would you do if you had more time?
I don’t want to see your list of things you would buy, I want to see your list of the things you would do if you had more time.
