I spent a big part of my day Monday with Dad and ended it at Mona Lounge enjoying a cigar with an old friend. Kicked off Tuesday with a great WAM meeting followed by a trip down to Dinwiddie to look at an investment house and ended with pool league where I won again. I worked from home on Wednesday while new windows were being installed before I headed out to spend the evening with Marines for our monthly Bullets, BBQ and Beer event. We had two new Marines attend and two of them brought their daughters and we helped them to work on their skills. One of the guys rented a short barreled fully automatic and we all had some fun with that.
Dad was my co-pilot on Thursday when I had the opportunity to go look at another property in New Kent and then we went out to lunch and the grocery store. On Friday I drove up to Haymarket to visit my daughter and see my newest grandchild. I held little Elsie for almost two hours as she slept in my arms. That’s my 13th grandchild :). I picked up Dad Saturday morning and we stopped at Waffle House on the way to meet my brother, his family and several friends at the car show at Meadow Events Park. After that, my brother and a couple of his friends joined me for the pool tournament at Your Place and I placed 7th again, this time out of 44 players. I might try it again this Saturday night, I want to place in the money! On Sunday I started helping an old friend to renovate his bathroom and then went to the movies with Michele that evening.
Is that a full week or what? Ironically, my friend that I started helping yesterday is recently retired and was sharing with me his thoughts about returning to work. I’m going to write more about this in the tip of the week.
What are you doing for fun this week?
