Summer is coming to an end. Have you been enjoying your summer?
Well this week I felt like I was working again. I spent a little time Monday at one friend’s house finishing up a project for them and then started Tuesday on my biggest project ever with my brother-in-law, building a garage for my sister-in-law. We framed up and covered the walls, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and then spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday installing the roof trusses. These trusses are huge and include the floor joists for the second floor and are twelve feet high. Did I mention there is no shade and it has been hot as can be? Lol
In between I still managed to visit the cigar lounge on Monday evening, had a great meeting with the GM at Hanover Golf Tuesday morning, shot some pool on Tuesday night, had a birthday breakfast with my grandson on Wednesday morning, got a haircut and snuck in a little fishing on Thursday morning and had dinner with my nephew on Saturday night. He is a truck driver and had to park here in Richmond for the night.
I was asked again this week how in the world I can find the time to enjoy myself like I do, work on the projects I’m working on, organize this golf tournament, keep up with my consulting/coaching clients, manage WAM, keep up with all the emails and texts, keep up w/family and friends and still spend quality time with Michelle.
One big one is that I don’t spend time “relaxing” like I see so many others do. I barely watch any television or just sit or lay around doing nothing. It helps too that I eat out instead of cooking, hire someone else to clean the house and don’t have a yard.
I have a long list of things I want to do, people I want to spend time and keep in touch with and places I want to go, so I created this lifestyle for myself. What lifestyle have or would you like to create for yourself? Do you think about this or are you just on cruise control? Just some food for thought.
Feel free to email, text or call me if you’d like to explore creating a plan for you that helps you achieve your desired lifestyle.
Have a fantastic week!
