Well things are finally feeling like they’re getting back to normal. Well, my normal anyway.
I knocked out a bunch of items on the ole things to do list this week and prepared for a big job this week. I played some pool and ate dinner at my favorite pool hall on Monday night, followed by a really good WAM meeting on Tuesday morning. We had two guests who I think could add a lot to the meeting.
Tuesday night’s pool league was a switch. Everyone won their match, except me 🙂 I was feeling good and had the opportunity to play a 7 handicap player but it didn’t go so well. He began the match with a break and run. Yep, he broke and then proceeded to pocket everyone his balls and I never even got a shot. He beat me 5 games to 0. I came close twice but blew it, missing the shot on the 8 ball both times. Back to the drawing board.
Got to have dinner at Mission BBQ with Michele on Wednesday evening followed by one of the best one to ones I’ve had in a long time Thursday morning. An old friend had reached out to me, invited me to walk the trails at Robious Park and even offered to bring the Starbucks! That’s the way to have a one to one. Turns out that she has quit her corporate job and is going out on her own!
On Friday I was able to get out on the course with an old friend who has recently taken up golfing and at a course I hadn’t played in years. It was great to reconnect with my buddy and to see how great this course is looking, I will be playing at Providence a lot more now.
Saturday night I played in a Texas Holdem tournament with a group of friends and really enjoyed that. They are a fun group and I always enjoy it there. I didn’t win any money but came close again. I’ll get ’em next time.
Finished off the week with a baseball game. Michele’s friends invited us to hangout in their suite. Can’t be watching the game that way. Refrigerator full of drinks, food and everyone’s favorite part yesterday, air conditioning. I still spent a lot of time sitting in the seats outside in front of the suite. I just couldn’t really concentrate on the game with all of the distractions inside.
All in all, a great week! This week might not include as much fun as I’m about to undertake a big but short project at a friend’s house. Since this project includes removing some of their exterior wall, I’m gonna have to buckle down and finish it so they don’t have to live too long with a hole in the side of their house.
Have fun and live it up!
