My biggest highlights from last week were all centered around food! I had lunch at Mission BBQ and tried their black plate special, the ribeye steak, and it was amazing! On Friday night Michele and I went back to Potros and I enjoyed another frozen margarita and a chicken avocado salad. Saturday night we drove to Orange where our friend Robert just opened The Dog House and I had a good ole fashioned foot long chili dog. Sunday after the movies we went back to Kitchen 33 which has become one of our favorite places. We just love the atmosphere, the people and the food there.
I was tired for golf league on Wednesday and it showed, I played horribly. It’s always great to catch the break and meet up with the guys though. I’m looking forward to playing pool again on Tuesday night again, that’s starting in just a few weeks.
Other than that, I worked! Today will be the 26th consecutive day that I’ve worked. I think it’s official now that I am, at least temporarily, no longer retired.
I will finish the flip house this week as I have an open house there this Sunday. If you are curious to see what I’ve been doing there, come on by between noon and 4pm and check it out. I’m finally getting back to working on my friend’s house that I was supposed to finish months ago, still trying to help Jonathan on his client’s renovation and now have two deck jobs waiting for me.
On a different note I’ve really been getting sucked back in politics. I’ve been reading and googling a lot more each morning and evening trying to figure what to think about all that’s going on right now. I know how much this economy is affecting me and I don’t know how some people are making it or how much longer they can continue. I see the potential of going cashless and I think that’s going to be really bad for a lot of people. People who are already operating pretty much cashless think it’s no big deal but they don’t realize that they are still operating under a cash based plan. My scary vision is one of having a government issued card as the only form legal tender. That’s enough of that.
Time for me to get to work. I hope you have a fantastic week, don’t hesitate to reach out and I’ll talk to you next week.
