I helped my mother in law this week with a little painting around her house, was able to visit and hang out with my father four times, breakfast with one friend, dinner with another, a great meeting with an associate, spent an evening eating and shooting with another.
On Saturday and Sunday I had the opportunity to work the Marine Corps League tent at the Green Top Expo. I really enjoyed visiting with all of the Marines and family of Marines that stopped and I ran into several people that I hadn’t seen in a long time.
Did I golf? Well, of course. On Monday I enjoyed an afternoon round with Paul at Belmont, on Wednesday I played with Arthur in a Capital Police fundraising tournament at Viniterra and Friday I enjoyed the day with my Brother, his wife and my nephew at Royal New Kent.
Needless to say, I’m not much for relaxing or watching television. I really do enjoy being outside and visiting with other people. That’s why I have made this such a priority for me.
This week is going to be consumed with the final organization of and then the actual playing of the WAM! Charity Golf tournament followed by a couple days of helping a friend with some landscaping and pruning and no golf until a tournament in North Carolina on Saturday with my brother in law.
I always had a vision of these years but I didn’t realize that even after I retired, there would still never be enough time to do all of the things I want to do.
I hope you have a fantastic week yourself!
