This weekly message is supposed to be an example of what you can do in business to retire early and enjoy life more. Right now, I guess it’s an example of how all good things still have rough patches.
In between doing some plumbing in the crawl space and installing sheetrock in the ceiling of another house and putting the final touches on the flip house I did manage to squeeze in some me time.
The dinner Monday with West Richmond Businessmen’s Association was a nice break. I got to visit with some of my friends and I got to meet Michael Robinson from Varina who played in the NFL and now runs a great local charity.
Tuesday night I was able to have dinner with Michele at Mission BBQ and Wednesday I got to break in my new driver at golf league. Saturday night Chance and I went to the Rodeo at Meadow Events park. I’ll definitely try and go see that again next year. Huge crowd, only $15 to get in, $10 for Veterans, and a great show.
Sunday was Dad’s birthday, the big 80, so my brother, his wife and my nephew went together to visit him and it was a very good visit.
The week was capped off with a nice evening with Michele going to the movies followed by dinner at our new favorite restaurant, Kitchen 33.
I’m really missing regular golfing, fishing, hiking, camping, etc. but this year is going to be focused on recovering from this flip house so the fun is going to be limited. Only limited though, I am still going to make sure to get out there some. All work and no play makes for a not very happy Walter 🙂
What do you have planned this week? If you said nothing, what are you going to do to change that? Do you need any help?
