We got through surgery on my dad’s other eye without a hitch and family and friends have been doing great in helping him with this eye drops, food and such.
Swinging for Success traveled to The Manor in Farmville on Tuesday and the day was a success. The course is in amazing condition, the weather was perfect, the owner treated us great, Carl Duffey took care of our drinks afterward and my game is continuing to improve.
Wednesday evening my Marine Corps brothers and I gathered at Colonial Shooting Academy for a little range time. We enjoyed our own private range where we all took turns firing each other’s guns. This followed by a little dinner at Mission BBQ. I never tire of hanging out with them.
I also completed a little side job replacing some deck boards for a friend and got in a really nice mountain bike ride at Belle Isle before heading out to Iowa to visit my mom. Saturday was filled with July 4th festivities and on Sunday family came over to eat and while we were all sitting outside visiting one of the last cows left to have a calf did so. If that wasn’t cool enough to be able to walk out in the field with my seven and nine year old nephew and niece and watching them experience it too added to it.
I will still be attending the WAM! Focus and WAM! Tastic meetings tomorrow. If you haven’t RSVP’d yet you may want to hurry up and get back to me or the facilitators of these. Our topic of discussion this month is centered around the habits of the top 10% and if it goes even half as well as last Thursday’s meeting it will be very good.
I hope you all have a fantastic week
