Again this week I’m sharing testimonials about how much my fellow WAM! members are helping me, especially in the area of our topic of discussion this month.
Getting away from the sales and numbers based goals and diving into the why is incredibly revealing. I’m learning more than I ever imagined just how many really struggle with envisioning their success, how many people are scared to share their dreams and how this affects us on a daily basis.
Imagine someone looking at a map and pointing to the places they would like to visit yet never looking at a path or route to get there, then convincing themselves that it is just a fantasy, that it will never happen and pushing themselves away from it.
I want you to try something for me. Pick a destination, find the ideal time to visit there and put it on your calendar five years from now. Not a time frame, but a specific date. Schedule it and start planning it. Figure out what everything will cost and make a budget, figure out everything you will need to take and make your list and then plan what you are going to do each day during this trip. Every week now, I want you to go back to this and check where you’re at, fine tune it and adjust as needed but most importantly, stick with it. Do you believe that if you did this you could make this trip happen?
Now, tell as many people as you can about your trip. Many are going to laugh and many will work hard to convince you that it will never happen. Ignore them. When you find people who get excited about your trip, start asking about the details and start helping you plan it, make it a point to spend more time with them.
My fellow WAM! members, they are the people getting excited with me, helping me and sharing their dreams with me so I can help them too. Together, we are learning how to define our why, how to set those goals and most importantly, how to achieve them!
Excited yet? Get with me or any other WAM! member and let’s get you a reservation and the link to attend one of our meetings right away. This week there is one tomorrow at 7:30am EST, 5:30pm and then another Thursday morning at 7:30am.
