A client of mine recently hired another consultant/coach and my first reaction was one of disappointment and frustration.
I wondered what I had missed, what I had done wrong, how did I miss this opportunity to help them more.
Fortunately, I held my emotions at bay and continued exploring with my client only to discover that I had done anything wrong or missed anything.
One of the biggest obstacles in achieving success in business is the entrepreneurial mindset that they must do and figure everything out on their own. If I’m going to help people to realize that success includes the Support, Accountability, Feedback and Education (that’s the acronym we use for WAM) from others then that doesn’t stop with me. DUH
Heck, I am myself and constantly seeking out help from others. Everyone has different experiences, knowledge, perspectives and ideas and I want to hear them all. And yes, I want my clients to hear them all as well.
The moral of the story, nobody has all of the answers. If you’re hiring people to help you, keep trying different ones when you can and learn from all of them.
Have a successful week!
