This past week was exciting in quite a different way. Late Monday evening my father was taken via ambulance to the hospital in Williamsburg. All that night and much of the following four days were spent there during which time he really struggled through a horrible internal infection. He was discharged on Christmas day and we have been caring for him at home since. He is doing much much better now.
The only other thing I did was work on preparations for my big journey this April. Researching, experimenting and working on my gear is a big part. I plan on starting a YouTube channel soon and documenting all about my gear and planning for those that are interested. I got in some good physical training as well. Endurance, upper body and legs are my focus.
I am kicking this week off with a round of golf today at Kiskiak golf course and this weekend I am scheduled to spend a few days in the woods and on the trail with fellow Marines in the mountains just north of Staunton. I’m not too excited about the cold but I want to get in some more training, test out some of my gear and I always value time with by brother’s in arms.
On the WAM! side this week is a lot of helping people with 2021 goals and plans. If you’re not comfortable in a group meeting and need help with this, contact me and schedule an in person, one on one session. Can you believe that next week it will be here!
Happy New Year!
