A big part of budgeting my time is going back and reviewing how I spend my time. Many are surprised by this. Me, I’m surprised that people think nothing of doing this with their checkbook but don’t do it all with their calendar. Just some food for thought.
My week; Monday I helped a friend move and then attended the board meeting with the West Richmond Businessmen’s Association. I think 2020 is going to be a big year for the WRBA. On Tuesday I was able to attend two WAM! Meetings during which I was able to capture some great feedback and tips to help me. I enjoyed helping one of our members on how they handle the “what’s your budget” conversation with clients. Tuesday was capped with shooting pool and my streak continued. It was a close one but I am now 6 for 6 so far this season. Wednesday evening I was able to attend Team Adrenaline led by member Natalee Bolton; if you want to get in some good exercise, I highly recommend checking this one out. Thursday was a little more exciting enjoying lunch with my grandson, a little time on the driving range trying to figure out my golf game, a networking event and dinner with a good friend. Friday morning’s workout was a good and a long one and Saturday I got to do a little landscaping work helping out a friend. It’s been a while since I had a shovel in my hand! That was followed up with a visit with the tax man, which I am very fortunate to have a good one. Then I played in a Texas holdem tournament, I did a little better this time. Sunday I went back to work on the landscaping project and then enjoyed a movie and a dinner with Michele.
How was your week? Did you schedule the time you should to take care of yourself, your relationships and your future? I share all of this because I really want to help more people to become more proactive with their time. Better time management will help you be healthier, happier and more successful in general.
How is the corona virus affecting you, your family and your job right now? With so many meetings and events being cancelled I am going to spend a little extra time with family and behind the laptop working a little more on some strategic planning. I hope that the precautions being taken are going to help get through this a little faster and with less tragedies.
Have a good week.
