Huge thank you to Shelby for helping out with this newsletter last week. She did a great job didn’t she!
Spring is in the air and after spending nine days exploring the deserts of Nevada and Arizona I am more than ready for it. Although I still had to dress a little, normally with a light hoody, in the mornings I spent most of my afternoon in shorts and a tank top and I am looking forward to more of that.
While I was gone the electrician installed new wiring and a main breaker box, the plumber, all of the new plumbing and the new HVAC system is ready to roll. I am ready to get back to the renovations today. Even better news, the house is already sold. The owner is excited as she has the opportunity to partake in the selecting of many of the final products almost as if she is building her own. I hope I can find another house soon.
It’s during these good times that I make sure not to forget how I got here and in doing so I reflect on how much the peers in my inner circle have helped me. Regular meetings with like minded people who I can truly open up to are invaluable and I’m glad I will be able to attend two of these meetings this week. If you don’t have a circle like this, be my guest on Thursday March 11th from 9 – 10:00am for a WAM! Open House for guests. We will have a couple members and myself to answer all of your questions and to share what we are all about.
On a totally different subject, I am part of leadership for the Marine Corps League and have organized an event that takes place the 1st Wednesday evening of each month. We meet at Colonial Shooting Academy at 1800 hours (6:00pm) in a private range where you can bring your own weapon and shoot those of the other attendees. From there we all head over to Mission BBQ just to hang out. I am allowed to bring a non-Marine guest each month so if you are interested or if you know any Marines that might be interested in attending just let me know.
Have a great week!
