The last day of November already? Tomorrow is the first day of the last month of 2020. Wow!
Last week began with a great breakfast meeting at Boychick’s Deli. I hadn’t been there in a while and was reminded how great their food and service are and had a great meeting. That was followed by spending some time with my father taking him to the doctor and having lunch with. I also attended the board meeting of the West Richmond Businessmen’s Association. Even though we have had to cancel yet another WRBA event we have some great plans and are looking forward to a much better 2021.
Tuesday I had the opportunity to test out my new backpack. With 28lbs of supplies I began at Pump House park, crossed the nickel bridge where I got on the Buttermilk trail. I took detours on the Rock Quarry loop where I found “the mailbox” and Forest Hill park before crossing the walking bridge to Brown’s Island. From there I went across to and then around Belle Isle before getting on the North Bank trail. I jumped off that trail to the Texas Beach trail and followed that back to Pump House park. In total I was able to get in 11.3 miles and some great pictures. The day was finished off with another great WAM! meeting with the Tuesday Night WAM! Folks.
Wednesday was spent helping a friend move some furniture and then attending Team Adrenaline at Forest Hill Park. Turkey Day brought me a whole day with Michele and together we spent most of the day with some great friends.
What about golf? Of course I had to play some golf and this week did not disappoint. On Friday I was able to enjoy a round at Brookwood golf course with three great friends. Since I was in New Kent I called my Dad and I joined him for dinner.
On Saturday I went running with a friend to help him with a virtual 10k and we finished together doing push ups on a bridge crossing over Canal Street. Michele and I then went and picked out a nice Christmas tree, put it up and decorated it before heading out to a nice Mexican dinner.
Sunday began with another workout with Team Adrenaline, a nice breakfast, hitting golf balls at the driving range, a couple honey do’s and then dinner with friends.
All in all, it was another great week. It wasn’t the most exciting but I really appreciate having the opportunities to enjoy the things I am. I can’t stop thinking about how much my life changed in such a short period of time and how thankful I am that I found the coaching I did and was able to make the changes I did. I do not forget all of the years of working so many hours, stressing all of the time and without any idea of what the future would bring.
While I can wish all I want that I would have learned what I learned earlier in life, there is nothing I can do now to change the past. What I can do though is help others to discover for themselves how to work less, make more, spend more time working on themselves, have more time for family and enjoy life.
Thank you for letting me share and let me know if I can help you too. Have a great week my friend.
