What a week. Taking care of dad has presented its challenges again and we still haven’t closed on the flip house in New Kent yet. In the middle of all of the chaos though I was able to walk eighteen holes of golf with my good friend Scott and hiked Old Rag Mountain with my friends Christian and Aaron and spent some time helping a new client.
I played one of my best rounds of golf. I have been saying for a couple of months now that my good shots were getting better but my score wasn’t really improving. Well last week it finally began to come together. I hope I am able to get in a few more rounds before I leave for the hike on April 19th.
With only 77 days until the big hike I am going to try and get in as many hiking trips as I can. During this past Saturday’s hike I discovered that my homemade contraption to secure my water bottle on the front strap of my back didn’t work and that those silly look spike people wear on their shoes during the winter aren’t silly at all. Everytime I had to bend all the way down or when I was slipping and/or falling on the ice again, my water bottle would end up somewhere else. I am dialing in my times and food and have settled on the shoes, socks and most of the clothing. Still experimenting with the tent, sleeping bag and electronics.
If all goes right, most of this week will be spent helping with demolition of the inside of this house. I want to have it ready to sell before I leave.
I almost forgot. Our members are really starting to dive deeper into each other’s businesses as well as each other’s personal growth and that this doesn’t work when we have guests in the meetings. Effective this week all of our meetings will be for members only but we will be having open houses, also via zoom right now, for anyone interested in learning about WAM! and what we do. Our first one will be next Tuesday from 10:00am until 11:00am and reservations are required.
Do you have any big plans this week?
